How does AutoPay Locate work?
AutoPay Locate combines a digital GSM telephone with advanced GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to wirelessly monitor your vehicle.
How do I track my customer’s vehicle over the Internet?
Go to
Log into the web site with your assigned Username & Password
Select the customer’s account, and click on Account.
Click on the GPS tab
Click on Locate and then Refresh.
Provided your device has an unobstructed view of the sky and you are in a known coverage area, the "Iocate" can take as little as a few seconds, or up to one minute. (If you use a dial up Internet Service, the process can take much longer) At times, due to poor location, a command may ‘time out’.
What does the Color of the Car Mean When Viewing Your Vehicle?
Green – Vehicle was current when Location was received
Yellow – Vehicle was in the Grace Period when the Location was received
Red – Vehicle was disabled when the Location was received
Who installs AutoPay Locate?
AutoPay Locate should be installed by someone who has experience in vehicle electrical systems. You can find capable personnel at locations that install vehicle sound and alarm systems. Most AutoPay Locate distributors can assist you with finding a qualified installer.

Are their any hidden costs?
All costs are paid by you, on your password protected web account. Purchased locates are pooled over your entire account, and once those are used, you are unable to perform additional locates. No overages can occur.
Does my customer’s car need to be running in order to view the vehicle’s location?
No. As long as the vehicle has battery power, your GPS device will work.
How long is my warranty?
AutoPay Locate comes with a one year warranty.
Can my customer find the AutoPay Locate and remove/disarm it?
AutoPay Locate is very small and is hidden away in your vehicle. There are no stickers placed on the vehicle to inform the thief that there is an AutoPay Locate unit on board. Detection of the device would require recognition of the device under the dash of the vehicle.
Is AutoPay Locate an alarm system?
AutoPay Locate is not an alarm system. It is an asset management device, which allows for GPS tracking and recovery.
What is the accuracy tolerance for AutoPay Locate Devices?
GPS accuracy is about 10 meters (30 feet) and is dependent on a great number of factors:
• Number of satellites visible to the device during tracking
• The angle of the GPS antenna
• Signal reflections from buildings, materials or natural features in the landscape
